| Elias Hassos was born in Munich in 1968 and started his studies at the Munich Academy of Photo Design in 1992. In 1995 he graduated with the work VATER-LAND, for which he was awarded
the Bavarian Prize for Junior Artists. Since then Elias Hassos has been working as a free-lance photographer for magazines and journals and also concluded several art projects of his own.
In 2002 he was granted the renowned DZ Bank scholarship for art photography. The corresponding works were published in a catalogue und presented in the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin. |
| Recently, Hassos’ series “Paradigm” received much attention. The work, a mixture of portraits, fragments of landscapes and architecture was presented in several galleries and museums. |
| Elias Hassos’ imagery is marked by a love for minimalism and formed by a longing to understand the world and the reality in its essence. His entire work expresses the desire to create images that are universally valid and can be grasped irrespective of culture, religion or social standing. |
